For the better part of my life I have wore athletic shoes, everything from Jordan’s to Nike Air Max’s. I have regularly loved and preferred tennis shoes over elegant shoes, like from Heels savings, as if my first sentence didn’t explain that.

One day I was going to buy a new MAC compact and I strolled by the ladies shoe store and could not take my eyes off this 1 pair of shoes. Let me tell you they were definitely not Jordans and they were shoes that I would habitually just stroll past. They were a pair of bronze cork heels with some gems on it…once again I am affirming my true expertise of heels. Well, I experienced the similar emotions as when I shop at a Foot Locker or look online at Nike coupon codes, they had to be mine! I tried them on, let’s just say, even though I was 3 ½ inches taller, it was as if I was sporting a set of athletic shoes or even cheesier, I was gliding on air. Of course, I spent the money and bought them. They were cost less than Jordans and I must confess, they were too cute!

Your typical shoe has a “break ‘em in” span, but these, oh these fashionable shoes wore without a hitch. Also, it was seemingly the first time I have ever heard a laurels on my shoes from a “woman”! Usually I hear from the guys about my Jordans or set of athletic shoes, but not the females. I must admit, it was a much needed change.

I still have these ornate shoes, they are five years young and still strutting. When one treats your girlie shoes like Jordans, minus the basketball playing, by keeping them in the original box and clean them after every wear, you enjoy them for a lifetime.

I always anticipate the coming of spring and summer when I can flash my Athena Alexanders. They still make me feel as if I am gliding on the clouds and the laurels continue to fly.
